After 3 days in Cape Range national park, we leave for Karijini national park. We leave the sea side because the park is located in the middle of the Australian Outback. Here everyone comes to admire the gorges, it’s cliffs and to swim in the smalls or bigs pools.

gorges

What really pleased us in Karijini on top of the breathtaking view, are the wonderful colors of the gorges of course! The cliffs, going from the yellow to the orange, the red of the earth and the dust, without forgetting the changing color of the pools in the gorges with the light. We have been really surprised too by the top of the cliff, red with the smalls bush and the inside green.

Hamersley gorge

We advise you to take the time to go to Hamersley gorge. We went there just before entering the parc and I have to say that it was beautiful. Between the road and the landscapes everything is here to imagine what the park is about.

The park has two parts, the first one is really accessible with lot of gorges and easy hikes. You will find in this part the Circular pool with a beautiful walk. Then you can go down in the gorge all the way to Fortescue fall. We loved it and were well surprise to arrive at the bottom of the waterfall in stairs, magic.

The second part is a little harder to access with a very bumpy road full of red dust. the adventure with the van, we drove only at 30km/h. No regrets when we arrive. The view is beautiful, the colors are showy. Here you will find Hancock gorge, Joffre gorge and Weano gorge. We fell really small, we walk by wondering in every turning point which surprise is going to welcome us.
At the bottom of gorges with these immense walls in stratum of colors changeable the poetry operates.
